The Challenge

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) has ambitious targets to increase membership, and so it calls on us to create inventive marketing campaigns that perform. Because the surveying industry straddles so many sectors – from construction to art and antiques – and joining RICS involves gaining professional accreditation, the RICS offering is often perceived as overly complex. RICS engaged Fellows Media to help this high-profile organisation reach its ambitious membership recruitment targets.

Our Solution

To overcome these recruitment barriers we helped RICS to simplify its recruitment messages, without ‘dumbing them down’. It now communicates more appropriate messages to its different target sectors, which prospective members find both relevant and engaging. A variety of media has been used during the past five years, including direct mail, html email campaigns, interactive presentations, iPad applications, video and microsites.
