The Challenge

The British Horse Society’s (BHS) strength as a power for good in the equine community grows stronger with every member that joins. Therefore it is imperative that its message reaches, engages and recruits as many horse lovers as possible. It needs to communicate regularly with its membership through channels such as British Horse magazine, and marketing collateral. As the UK’s leading equine charity, any communication has to be cost-effective, and preferably a revenue generator.

Our Solution

Working closely with the BHS marketing team we have developed direct mail, print and digital advertising campaigns, together with event stand collateral, that has enabled the organisation to increase member recruitment and retention levels.
We have also developed its website and magazine to ensure both are relevant and engaging to members and advertisers alike. Our intelligent, consultative approach to selling has seen revenues increase by more than 300% and total revenue is now in the millions.

The Client

The BHS represents the interests of the 4.3 million people in the UK who ride or who drive horse-drawn vehicles. With its membership (and that of its Affiliated Riding Clubs and Affiliated Bridleway Associations) the BHS is the largest and most influential equestrian charity in the UK.
